Social Media Success Stories
I’m on a quest. A quest to find social media success stories. Here’s a start as of May 29, 2009. I’ll be adding more very soon be sure to hit me back:
- BestBuy
Harnessing the brainpower of employees nation wide, Best Buy utilizes a Twitter based customer/tech support system called TwelpForce. With over 13,000 followers, TwelpForce has issued 11,000 tweets in response to customer inquiries. - Adobe
Such as simple example. Adobe maintains a public Delicious bookmarks page offering hand-picked links to valuable resources throughout the Web. If you’re a design professional needing to stay appraised of the latest/greatest Adobe resources online, this is a one-stop shop treasure trove. Thanks for sharing, Adobe. - Romeo: The Cat’s Meow of Social Media
I was recently invited by the Columbus Chamber of Commerce to present a short Social Media success story. I featured my friend Caroline Golon’s hobby project titled Romeo: The Cat’s Meow of Social Media. Caroline combines her savvy media relations skills and creativity with her love for shelter animals. The resulting pet project (pun intended) has raised over $17,000 using Twitter, Facebook and a blog. - 31 Days of the Dragon
Behold the power of bloggers! HP uses a partnership network of bloggers to build awareness and excitement about their HDX Dragon. Great idea and even better results. - ClevelandIdeas.com
DigiKnow turns to crowdsourcing to gather creative ideas to better the city of Cleveland. An integrated campaign drives awareness, participation and ultimately implementation.
